Mid Backend Developer with Node.js

We’re looking for a Backend Developer to help shape the foundation of a modular, enterprise-grade EdTech platform. This role is critical in designing and building scalable services using Node.js, aligned with a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) which is already designed on enterprise-level but not yet on solution-level. You’l contribute to developing reusable, API-first components that power automation, AI-driven workflows, and seamless integrations. Responsibilities:

● Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js within a microservices/SOA framework.

● Build wel-documented APIs (REST and GraphQL) for frontend clients, mobile apps, and third-party integration.

● Colaborate with architecture and DevOps to ensure backend services are secure, observable, and resilient.

● Integrate AI-ready, and external SaaS integrations / endpoints and support event-driven workflows (webhooks, pub/sub,

queues).

● Contribute to multi-tenant capabilities with role-aware access control, auditing, and extensibility.

● Write clean, testable code with a strong emphasis on maintainability and performance.

Required Skills:

● 4+ years of backend development experience, including Node.js and TypeScript.

● Proven track record in building and scaling microservices in production environments.

● Solid understanding of SOA principles, API-first design, and asynchronous workflows.

● Experience with authentication/authorization, queueing systems, and caching strategies.

● Familiarity with DevOps workflows (Docker, CI/CD, monitoring).

● Strong problem-solving ski ls and the ability to work in agile, fast-paced delivery teams.
