Senior Java Developer

2-3 day per week you need to be available until 9:00 PM for meetings with the US team.

We are looking for Senior Java Developer for our customer- AirBnB- an online marketplace connecting people who want to rent out their homes with people looking for accommodations in specific locales. Together with them, we are building a world-class payments platform that moves billions of dollars, in 191 countries, with 75 currencies, through a complex ecosystem of payments partners. They are also reinventing how to serve users to improve performance, scalability and extensibility. 

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, testing and deployment

• Build and maintain Java based microservices having well defined APIs that are highly reliable and scalable

• Architect and implement solutions to improve reliability, observability, efficiency and performance of existing system

• Troubleshoot, debug and maintain existing systems

• Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code, leveraging best practices and standards

• Participate in Sprint Planning and other engineering meetings and provide input in prioritization, planning and decision-making within scope or domain of expertise

• Collaborate with engineers and with cross-functional partners via Slack, documents (G-Suite), and frequent video conferences (zoom), and on JIRA work tracking systems.

And if you possess...

• 5+ years of industry experience in building and maintaining large-scale software systems

• Experience developing in Java and familiarity with its unit testing frameworks

• Excellent debugging and optimization skills, and a focus for building reliable systems

• Strong communication skills, eagerness to learn and to collaborate with the engineering team

• Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture

• Familiarity with Relational Database Management Systems

• Any Privacy product or platform related experience is a plus
