Data Solution Architect/Data Architect

We seek a Data Solution Architect to work internally and for one of our clients as well as a Data Architect for our customer the best-known Swiss watch brand in the world. (Both roles require business trips once in a while)

Your responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Conduct requirement analysis and prioritize features. Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Data Modeling: Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Data Architecture Design: Design scalable and robust data architectures.
• Data Warehousing: Design efficient data warehouses for analysis and reporting.
• Data Governance: Ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Data Security: Implement data security best practices to protect data integrity.
• ETL and Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers to design ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from various sources.

If you possess...

• Professional experience: several years of experience in designing and developing data solutions with at least 6 + years of experience as a data architect or similar role
• Collaborating with stakeholders: Conducting requirement analysis, prioritizing features, and aligning data architecture with business objectives.
• Data Architecture Design: Skill in designing scalable and robust data architectures that support current and future business needs.
• Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing principles and experience in designing data warehouses that facilitate efficient data analysis and reporting. Designing data architecture for analysis with BI tools.
• Data Governance: Ability to implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, MDM and compliance with regulations.
• Data Modeling: Proficiency in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements and support efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Experience in developing ETL/ELT processes and tools to integrate data from various sources into a unified system.
• Data Security: Knowledge of data security best practices and principles to ensure data integrity and protect against unauthorized access.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and justify design decisions.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data-related challenges and optimize data architecture.
• Experience in designing data solutions in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Experience or good knowledge of Databriks is strongly preferred.
• Tech stack: Proficiency in programming languages used for data manipulation and analysis, such as Python and SQL.
