Database Administrator (MS SQL)

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our client's team and support database infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments!

Main tasks:

• Administration of MS SQL Server (2012–2019), including Always On Failover Cluster

• Managing SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS

• Backups, security permissions, job scheduling, patching, and setting up new instances

• User management and permission control

• Installing patches and deploying new SQL instances

• Administration of AWS services: EC2 / RDS, DMS, Route53, Systems Manager, S3, IAM

• Automating tasks using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform (basic)

• Basic administration of MySQL, Aurora, PostgreSQL, and Oracle

• Participation in weekend on-call duty (approx. once per quarter)

Requirements:

• At least 3-4 years of commercial experience with management and administration of Microsoft SQL Server – installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, HA/DR (mirroring), performance tuning

• Hands-on experience with T-SQL and PowerShell (scripting)

• Strong problem-solving, communication skills and customer-oriented mindset

• Fluent English - at least B2+

• Experience with AWS services (RDS, EC2, S3) - an advantage

• Programming or DevOps experience - an advantage

• ITIL, Scrum or DevOps certificates - nice to have
