A hybrid work model that incorporates solutions developed by the leader and the team.

    About the team

Our department builds and maintains the foundational technology that empowers Allegro. We provide a modern, efficient ecosystem for hundreds of international product teams, ensuring Allegro is always available, performant, and secure. We manage everything from data centers and private cloud solutions to deployment pipelines, SDKs, and compliance tooling. In short, we create the environment that enables Allegro employees to build products efficiently.

Within this department, the ERA team is the driving force behind Allegro's observability platform. Our work directly impacts the reliability and performance of the entire company, ensuring Allegro remains a leading e-commerce platform. As a highly autonomous team, we set our own strategic roadmap, pioneering innovative solutions.

We develop cutting-edge, in-house tools tailored to Allegro's unique needs. We embrace experimentation and constantly seek new ways to improve monitoring capabilities.

We foster a DevOps culture, where every team member takes ownership of the entire software development lifecycle. We leverage both public and private cloud technologies to build scalable, resilient systems, and apply SRE principles to guarantee service reliability and performance.

Together, we build a robust ecosystem that supports the complex network of machines and applications powering Allegro. Our passion for innovation, in-house development, DevOps, and collaboration makes us an integral part of Allegro's technology landscape.

We are looking for people who:

    • Are passionate about observability: You understand the critical role monitoring plays in ensuring system reliability and performance. You're eager to build and maintain the tools that keep Allegro running smoothly.
    • Have a solid grasp of observability tools: You are familiar with and have experience utilizing Prometheus, VM, and Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
    • Have a strong programming foundation: You're proficient in Python and GoLang, and you can apply your coding skills to develop custom monitoring solutions, automate tasks, and integrate with existing systems.
    • Embrace Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You understand the importance of IaC in managing complex infrastructure and have experience with tools like Terraform or Ansible. You can apply this knowledge to build reliable, scalable monitoring systems.
    • Understand cloud and container technologies: You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenStack, and you can leverage this expertise to monitor and troubleshoot applications in these environments.
    • Are familiar with time series databases: You understand the unique challenges of working with time series data and have experience with tools like VictoriaMetrics or Prometheus.
    • Have database skills: You're comfortable working with various databases like Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis, and you can use this knowledge to monitor database performance and health.
    • Value engineering best practices: You advocate for clean code, code review, TDD, and CI/CD to ensure the quality and maintainability of monitoring systems.
    • Thrive in a collaborative environment: You're a team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. You're eager to share your knowledge and learn from others.

In addition, experience with the following would be a plus:

    • Network monitoring: Knowledge of network protocols and tools for monitoring network traffic and performance like Zabbix (yeah, we know…).
    • Log analysis: Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools like Elasticsearch or Graylog.
    • Alerting and incident management: Familiarity with alerting systems and incident management processes like OpsGenie or PagerDuty.

    Additionally, we offer:

    • Thrive in Our Workspace: Enjoy well-located offices with amenities like fully equipped kitchens, secure bike parking, ergonomic workstations (height-adjustable desks), and interactive meeting spaces designed for collaboration.
    • Choose Your Benefits: Customize your compensation with a cafeteria plan offering diverse options like medical coverage, sports/wellness packages, lunch subsidies, insurance, and purchase vouchers.
    • Sharpen Your Skills: Enhance your professional development with company-sponsored English classes tailored to your role and access to a generous training budget. Grow through our internal educational platform, MindUp, offering courses on everything from work organization and communication to cutting-edge technologies.
