Job Description

Your main responsibilities:

• You will work on transitioning the database services from traditional infrastructure to those managed in the public cloud and/or those based on Kubernetes,
• This is a process that won't happen right away, so you will also have to take care of the existing database infrastructure so that it runs smoothly and is always available,
• At the same time, you will create and maintain tools to improve, optimize and automate tasks in our infrastructure.

We are looking for people who have:

• Proven experience with NoSQL databases, such as: MongoDB, Couchbase, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, ScyllaDB;
• Knowledge of data modeling design topics oriented towards optimal data storage and high performance;
• Experience in migration of large volumes of data between different database systems;
• Practical expertise in finding causes of performance problems, performing load tests, tuning queries and selecting optimal indexes;
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and GCP cloud environment;
• Understanding of issues with performing backups and disaster recovery;
• Willingness to work with programmers;
• Experience with NewSQL databases like CockroachDB, Yugabyte, RavenDB is welcome;
