Aether Biomedical is a medical robotics company focused on bio signal processing and bionic limbs for upper limb amputees. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in coding/automation using Python, preferably in embedded related environments.
- Experience in creating data processing workflows
- Experience in developing supporting tools/solutions, preferably in development of hardware-related projects.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
- Basic knowledge on embedded systems and embedded hardware/software creation workflow.
- Fluent spoken and written English (we work in an international environment on a daily basis).
- Proven track record of working with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD controlled projects.
- Problem-solving approach.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Robotics or related.
- Practical experience with development of medical solutions according to standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 62366-1, IEC 60601-1, ISO 14971, etc.) would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge on development of Python GUI applications (PyQt).
- Experience with Python hardware-related modules like Pyserial, bleak, lgpio and interfacing peripherals SPI, I2C etc.
- Knowledge of hardware platforms like RaspberryPi or related.
- Other scripting languages, eg. Bash, Perl, R.
- Practical experience in building testing automation solutions or creating other Python based tooling platforms/frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Creation of Python tools and scripts needed for sustaining the development and maintenance of cutting edge solutions in the prosthetic/orthotic market, including Zeus bionic hand.
- Design and implementation of data pipelines for collecting usage data from hardware devices, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Development of Python scripts to preprocess raw data, handling missing values, noise, and other anomalies.
- Maintenance and development of hardware automated testing platforms.
- Multi-disciplinary cooperation leading to creation and maintenance of world-class prosthetic/orthotic solutions.
- Development of software according to medical devices standards.
- Participation in the lifecycle of a medical device including Requirements, Specifications, Risk Management, and V&V.
