Aether Biomedical is a medical robotics company focused on bio signal processing and bionic limbs for upper limb amputees. We are a growing team aiming to make a big impact on a bionic prosthesis market. We are growing fast, and so we are looking for new people that will help us to bring our products to the market.
To this end we are looking to grow our Product QA (V&V) team and wish to hire suitably qualified QA engineers of various experience levels.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in software QA or medical device QA / testing
- Proven experience in product testing covering web, mobile, and embedded systems.
- Proven experience in developing test strategies encompassing manual and automated testing environments
- Understanding and experience with regulatory standards and quality management systems, such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304 and ISO 14971 risk management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with software testing tools and frameworks
- Experience in test automation is desired
- Self starter, ability to work in an autonomous manner and experience in leading others is desired
- A basic understanding of electronics and ability to use laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies is desired
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for Aether Biomedical’s product portfolio including web and mobile applications and embedded software.
- Conduct hands-on testing of the embedded software within the bionic hand prosthesis, ensuring its reliability and safety.
- Develop test plans, protocols and reports for product testing according to medical device standards
- Collaborate with the development team to identify, document, and resolve software/product defects.
- Participate in risk assessment activities, contributing insights into potential failure modes and test strategies to mitigate risks.
- Establish and maintain QA metrics for assessing the quality of the software & product.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with medical device software standards and regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement in the QA process and implement best practices.
- Prepare and present regular reports on test status and project progress to stakeholders.
