Aether Biomedical is a medical robotics company focused on bio signal processing and bionic limbs for upper limb amputees. We are a growing team aiming to make a big impact on a bionic prosthesis market. We are growing fast, and so we are looking for new people that will help us to bring our products to the market.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience in embedded systems development, preferably STM32 or other ARM-Cortex based platforms.
- Very good C and/or C++ knowledge in embedded applications.
- Knowledge of software development tools: CMake, GCC, Git, GDB etc.
- Fluent spoken and written English (we work in an international environment on a daily basis).
- Knowledge on embedded communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN etc.) and sensor integration.
- Proven track record of working with version control systems and CI/CD controlled projects.
- Fundamental understanding of electronics, strong debugging skills, knowledge of laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, functional generators etc.).
- Understanding and experience of electro-mechanical (robotic) systems
- Problem-solving approach.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electronics or related.
- Practical experience with development of medical devices according to standards (IEC 60601-1, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 62366-1, ISO 14971, etc.) would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience in development of systems utilizing analogue front-ends and bio human-machine interfaces (eg. EMG, ECG, EEG) would also be very welcomed.
- Knowledge of BLE stack related topics.
- Proven participation in projects involving DC motor control.
- Scripting languages: Python, Bash.
- Experience in creating unit and automation tests.
Responsibilities
- Engagement in creating embedded software for cutting edge medical device solutions in the prosthetic market, including Zeus bionic hand.
- Creation of embedded system architectures and implementation of the solutions, including communication protocols and sensor fusion.
- Multi-disciplinary cooperation leading to creation and maintenance of world-class prosthetic/orthotic solutions.
- Solving complex embedded technical challenges in cooperation with other team members.
- Development of software according to medical devices standards.
- Participation in the full lifecycle of a medical device from Requirements, Specification, Coding, Risk Management, V&V and Market Deployment and sustaining.
