Job description

We are looking for a motivated Python Engineer to join our Product Engineering Team and be part of our Connect Platform. Together we have built over 600 integrations and you'll contribute to building new connectors and improving existing integrations. You'll play a key role in constantly improving the quality of our product by maintaining a healthy level of test coverage and working closely with the QA team.

This is a full-time position where you can work remotely in Europe or from one of our offices in Vienna or Katowice.

Some of the things you’ll work on:

In the first two months:

  • You'll be assigned to a pod and work closely with Engineers and pod owners.
  • You'll absorb our engineering culture, start coding your first connector, increase code coverage for existing connectors and ramp-up quickly within the Connect universe.

After two months:

  • You'll take care of the data processing pipelines by working on new features, extending the scope of the existing ones, managing the 3rd party API changes and fixing bugs.
  • You'll build relationships within and outside the Engineering team and collaborate with QA Engineers, Product Managers, Customer Support, Engineering Operations, etc.
  • You'll take ownership of the tasks you work on - from analysis, development, code review and testing, to the deployment to our customers.
  • You'll be responsible for raising the overall quality of our product.

We’re excited if you have:

  • Fluency in frameworks/libraries such as Django, Celery, and SQLAlchemy as well as up-to-date with the Python ecosystem.
  • Quality first approach: experience implementing best practices striving for high test coverage (unit & integration tests).
  • Knowledge of most popular testing libraries and ability to use them through TDD and BDD approaches.
  • Good knowledge of modern databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Excellent (over)communication skills: You are a good listener. You know how to advocate, persuade and negotiate with your peers. You enjoy writing things down to synthesise information.
  • A curious mind and fast learning skills: You have an appetite for continuous learning and you know when and how to dig deeper.

Why you’ll love it here:

  • Flexible working hours and home-office
  • Internal shares program (EDPP)
  • Ergonomic workspace and cutting-edge technology
  • Budget for job-relevant training
  • Regular team events (also remote) and a yearly global team trip
  • Modern and stylish offices
  • Sustainable merch for all employees
  • Adverity Social Responsibility Days (+2 days paid off)
