Job description

Brief Description

System Consultant is responsible for the whole spectrum of pre-sales technical support for the sales force and for selected customers, respectively. This will include, but not limited to, keeping in close contact with strategic customers, Product Line Management and Business Development.

What will you be doing as a System Consultant?

Support the Key account manager or Business development manager for the evaluation and preparation of the technical response to customer RFI/RFP and projects. In particular the SC is responsible for those chapters or questions related to Statement of Compliances (SOC) and Bill of Materials. Together with the Business Development and the Network Consultant, the SC is responsible for defining the most optimized technical solution from both, the technical and economical perspective. This includes the product selection and product configuration.
  • Conceptual studies of Packet-based network architectures and functionalities
  • Proof of Concepts, Trials and demonstration of Oscilloquartz products
  • Support of customers: general technical consulting on product
  • Business cases, e.g. Oscilloquartz solutions vs. competitive or alternate solutions
  • Give technical trainings on network concepts and customers’ requirements to Sales, Technical Assistance Staff as appropriate, product training to customers, channel partners and service providers

What we expect from you?

  • In-depth knowledge of packet-based based Networks
  • Understanding and experience on network synchronization and timing (i.e. PTP/SyncE) or at least knowledge about synchronization and its purpose
  • Experience with telecom equipment supplier or Timing Supply Equipment Sales 
  • Strong Communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Experience with Network Timing and Oscillator concepts
  • Ability to travel about 40-60%
  • Strong ability for self-sufficiency, works well with sales persons and able to work in remote office setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred
