Brief Description
The position will involve designing and developing system integration tests in Ethernet area for ADVA Optical Networking’s NMS product line:
The position will involve designing and developing system integration tests in Ethernet area for ADVA Optical Networking’s NMS product line:
- FSP Network Manager – single management platform for advanced management of optical, Ethernet and sync network
Responsibilities
- Work together with developers in scrum team delivering iteratively high quality software
- Execution of manual and automated tests
- Point out testability opportunities/barriers during design and planning sessions
- Work on maximum automation of testing activities – take part in designing and deploying of automated and manual tests
- Design and test environment setup for various test scenarios, including configuration of various Ethernet devices
- Documentation and tracking of defects in the test/development management system
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or relevant
- Good written and spoken English
- Desire and ability to gain new knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem - solving skills
- Good team player, flexible and open minded
- Knowledge of telecommunication networks, especially Network Management Systems would be an advantage (especially Ethernet area) or willingness to learn
- Experience in test automation frameworks (i.e. Robot Framework, Java frameworks) or test automation via QF-Test would be an advantage or willingness to learn
- Experience in software testing methodologies would be an advantage
- Programming skills in Python and/or Java would be an advantage
