Adhese is a company with headquarters in Ghent, Belgium and an office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Wroclaw, Poland. We create and operate an adtech/martech platform that is used by large media companies in the European market. Our customers range from news publishers over TV and radio stations to ecommerce players and large brands.
Our team works continuously on our products, developing new features, addressing changes in the market, deploying new components and monitoring operations. We focus on digital advertising with respect to privacy, taking a radically different approach from our large international competitors.

Role
You will be part of our development team, working as a programmer on our platform. Task vary from developing and deploying new features to fixing issues and thinking through new ideas, all with the goal of making digital advertising work for our clients, with respect for the user's privacy at the core. Proactivity and engagement are qualities we are looking for.

Opportunities
- Write some clean code (unit tests, code reviews)
- Run it on our cloud infrastructure (docker, kubernetes, aws, gcp)
- Stress test it under some serious traffic (>10000 req/s, rx java)
- Throw some big data on it (>100G / day, hadoop, pig)
- And finally monitor how great it runs in prod (grafana, graphite, collectd)
Requirements
- String knowledge of programming in general and Java in particular.
- Several years of experience with Java, SQL and Spring.
- Familiarity with general security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring systems and performance tuning
- Able to communicate fluently, in English
