Role overview:
As a Software Engineer in Test (SET) in Acxiom’s Marketing Services division, you will be on the front lines of testing our core products and solutions. You will also be involved with cutting edge technology used to automate the building, testing, and reporting on our various products. Our SETs are embedded in agile engineering teams and own the testing tasks involved in bringing new and exciting products to market.
A Day in the Life of a Software Engineer in Test:
- Works daily as a part of an agile engineering scrum team and is responsible for testing and test automation tasks the team deems priority
- Actively contributes to the quality of Acxiom products through creation of test scenarios, test data and test verification
- Works and collaborates with other team members (within and outside specific scrum teams) and begin utilizing Axiom test frameworks and industry standard development and automation toolsets
- Professionally communicates with stakeholders by providing both verbal and written communication on a daily/weekly basis

Key skills:
- Being comfortable with object oriented programming fundamentals
- Experience with Oracle and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and with MSSQL
- Working knowledge of software development tools/methods (Jenkins, Git, TestRail), or alternatives
- Working knowledge of technologies such as: Javascript (Node.js, Mocha, Grunt), Java, Maven, Selenium (PageObject)
- Familiarity and working knowledge of Hadoop and related technology stack (Hive, Spark etc. as well as Scala language) is a plus
