Primary responsibilities include the design, development, and implementation of strategic business processes and interfaces using the webMethods development environment and toolsets
Responsibilities also include participation in team discussions, functional and technical design meetings, peer code reviews, and ownership of the interface(s) during stabilization support situations
Monitor and resolve application related incident tickets and general user service requests
Resolve or escalate incidents to the appropriate user or team within the specified SLA and in compliance with established standard operating procedures
Work with application technical and infrastructure teams to identify and resolve issues affecting overall application system performance
Participate in a continuous improvement process to reduce ticket volumes and improve overall production support service and efficiency by identifying recurring or potential issues & recommending solutions
Create and maintain relevant technical and production support documentation
Provide on-call support, on a rotational basis, including non-traditional hours as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
3 years of development and support experience using SAG (webMethods) environment
Fast learning and well developed analytical thinking, design thinking and problem solving skills
Experience in working in an global environment
Nice to have
Knowledge and understanding of software development and testing methodologies
1-3 years experience working with Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) patterns and applications
Knowledge or experience in system analysis, design or programming using an IDE (integrated development environment) and associated development methodologies
Some experience with developing solutions in Java and J2EE.
Some experience with creating or use of XML schemas for use in performing data mapping
Knowledge and understanding of SAP core modules: Enterprise Core Component (ECC), SAP/ERP implementation, and interface types (IDOC, RFC calls and ALE)
Technical experience and knowledge in the development of interfaces via MQ Series or JMS queues
Experience with MSSQL, Oracle RAC, and other RDMSs from a JDBC adapter perspective - basically understand how to write queries, call SPs, and use of DB triggers
