Senior Cyber Security Specialist in Vulnerability Scanning

The role holder works under general direction with substantial responsibility and autonomy for planning and delivering their work. What You will be responsible for

• Vulnerability scanning 
• Vulnerability assessment and prioritisation 
• Configuring vulnerability detection tools 
• Be a support and SME for other Team members
• Preparing reports presenting risks and vulnerabilities in the environment 
• Periodical review of systems configuration 
• Evaluation and recommendation about vulnerability scanners 
• Preparation and maintenance of services documentation 
• Ensuring that environment is well protected 
• Working along other teams to solve the security-related problems 

Our Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience in Vulnerability Scanning field
• Interest in IT security, network and server administration technologies 
• network knowledge and understanding of basic concepts
• Experience in any of the scripting languages (Powershell, Python etc.) 
• Basic knowledge of security terminology
• Knowledge of vulnerability terminology (CVE, CWE, CPE, CAPEC etc.)
• Understanding of Vulnerability Management Life Cycle and why it matters 
• Ability to present technical data to non-technical people 
• Highlighting the risks and creating roadmaps how it can be mitigated 
• Proactive approach in finding improvements or possibilities for automation 
• B2 level (or higher) of spoken and written English including technical vocabulary 
• Willingness to learn new technologies and do some hands-on testing 

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with analyzing cyber threats 
• understanding and experience in using vulnerability scanners (Tenable Nessus, Qualys etc.) 
• knowledge of Linux systems 
• Understanding of compliance/hardening
• Security related certificates, such as: CompTIA Security +, CySA+ etc. 
• Technology certificates such as: SC-200, MS-500 etc. 
• Other certificates which proof knowledge in field of security and technology administration
