    SimCorp’s Product Development is home to more than 750 skilled and creative technology professionals, organized in more than 75 agile teams.     The mission of the Connectivity Core Product Area is to develop and improve generic toolboxes for customized Connectivity workflows in SimCorp Dimension, our Investment Management Software product as well as to develop standard integration to external vendors such as Bloomberg or SWIFT. To achieve this, we are using a technology stack spanning across products and technologies like .net, Azure, Oracle Queues, WebSphere MQ, XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON, REST and Soap API. The code is mainly based on C# and APL. As a Software Engineer you will be part of our agile scrum team and together with your colleagues you will be responsible for designing and developing connectivity and integration capabilities as well as taking care of quality assurance and maintenance of this area. 


    What you will be responsible for 


    • Together with your team you will implement new features including taking care of quality assurance, refactor existing code, research tools and frameworks to enable future innovation 
    • Participation in backlog development, refinement features in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, creation of user stories using agile practices  
    • Maintain the existing product 
    • You will work closely with Product Management, Architects and peers from your area to design integration and connectivity solutions 
    • Ensure design and code quality doing code reviews, driving test automation to the next level and always taking security requirements into considerations 
    • Participate in product demos to present deliveries and close the feedback loop on value creation
    • Constantly learn and improve yourself, the team and our product incl. experimenting with modern engineering practices such as test-driven development and pair-programming  


    What we value 


    • Good knowledge and experience (2+ years) in C# or other object-oriented language 
    • Curiosity and readiness to learn functional programming language APL, our frameworks and other in-house tools 
    • Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing unit tests and the desire to maintain and develop test automation including their integration into CI/CD pipelines  
    • Understanding and adherence to XP practices (TDD, pair-programming etc.) 
    • Strategic mindset and strong analytical skills with focus on business outcome 
    • Ability to understand clients’ requirements and to translate those into technical solutions 
    • You consistently engage with others to collaboratively identify the best outcomes 
    • You have a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or similar 
    • Understanding Lean Agile practices, values and principles is advantageous 
    • Good communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing)
