At zt1 we are building the operational nervous system for modern factories: Production, warehouse, orders, traceability, real workflows, real constraints.

What to Expect

The efficiency of modern manufacturing depends on engineers being able to digitize complex physical workflows quickly and accurately. Our platform is the operational system for factories — impacting production, warehousing, and real-time traceability. You will join a small, elite team as a technical owner of core parts of the system, helping shape the architecture, standards, and long-term direction of the platform using Event-Driven Architecture and Domain-Driven Design.

This position comes with real architectural responsibility. You will make and defend long-term technical decisions, protect code quality and system integrity, and design systems that must work reliably in messy real-world conditions. You will own full vertical slices — from domain modeling, through backend and frontend, to infrastructure and deployment — and help build the technical foundations that real factories will rely on every day.

What You’ll Do

• Own the architecture of core subsystems from day one

• Set engineering standards and patterns

• Design and implement core production-flow services used daily on factory floors

• Own end-to-end features from domain modeling → backend → UI → deployment.

• Your focus will be on translating messy real-world processes into clean, efficient software, optimizing resources across the stack (Node.js/Nest.js), and speeding up the operational workflows our clients face.

• Increase the reliability of global production lines with robust, thoughtfully engineered backend and frontend solutions. You’ll deal with partial failures, out-of-sync production data, operators skipping steps, and systems that must keep running even when people make mistakes.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering

• Experience being the technical decision-maker for a product or subsystem (preferably Staff / Principal developer or Head of development or similar role)

• Excellent knowledge of server-side Node.js (ideally Nest.js) and modern frontend frameworks (React / Next.js).

• Strong understanding of Event-Driven Architecture, DDD, and database design (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes infrastructure.

• A product-first mindset with the ability to design systems rather than just implement tasks.

Big Plus If You Have

• Experience in startups / building products from scratch

• Experience designing systems for operations, logistics, manufacturing

• Opinionated views about architecture, DX, and product engineering

• Experience designing systems used by non-technical users
