Python Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Cracow - (Hybrid - typically 1 day/week in the office, but less frequent visits are also perfectly fine)

We are representing a global technology company that provides advanced business automation solutions for thousands of clients worldwide. They are currently expanding their R&D center in Kraków and building a brand-new engineering unit dedicated to Artificial Intelligence.

The goal of this team is to design autonomous systems that can execute complex business logic, make decisions, and interact with the core platform. We are looking for an engineer who understands that building AI products is 90% solid software engineering and 10% model interaction. You will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of these smart features, from backend architecture to production monitoring.

Your Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and deploy AI-driven backend services that handle millions of operations.

• Create and maintain robust pipelines connecting internal microservices with Large Language Models (handling prompts, validation, tool calling, and context management).

• Establish strict observability and testing standards for AI features. You will be responsible for measuring latency, cost (token usage), and the accuracy of non-deterministic outputs.

• Write clean, scalable backend code, primarily using Python.

• Work in a polyglot environment: while your core focus is the AI layer, you will build integrations with the company’s legacy and modern ecosystems (which include PHP and React-based applications).

• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate your own development process.

• Collaborate with cross-functional product teams in Poland and engineering leadership in the US.

• Share responsibility for the reliability of your services (occasional on-call duties).

  
  

Core Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.

• Real-world experience deploying LLM-based applications or intelligent agents into a live production environment (academic or hobby projects are not enough).

• Strong programming skills in Python.

• Readiness to work cross-system – you must be comfortable reading or interacting with codebases written in PHP and modern JavaScript (React).

• Good knowledge of databases and caching mechanisms (e.g., MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB).

• Focus on engineering rigor: you know how to build testable, highly available, and observable distributed systems.

• Fluency in English (B2/C1) is a must.
