Data Analyst / Insight Specialist – Drive Data Strategy in a Global Financial Institution!
Location: Cracow, Poland (Hybrid Work Model - 2 days/week)
About the Role:
We are looking for a Data Analyst who wants to make a measurable impact. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting large datasets across the entire bank. Your primary goals are to find common patterns, identify data related to customer processes, and provide clear, actionable insights. You will use technical tools and methods to support strategic decisions, increase operational efficiency, and improve core processes.
Your work will directly influence the bank’s operations and business direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Quality:
Data Sourcing: Identify and analyse data from key internal sources (including areas like Onboarding, Compliance, Products, and Tax).
Data Management: Design and maintain data systems and databases. Implement clear data quality management policies.
Analysis Preparation: Aggregate and clean data to ensure it is accurate and ready for analysis.
Communication: Clearly present complex findings and conclusions to both technical experts and senior management.
Collaboration and Improvement:
Decision Support: Prepare reports and presentations that form the basis for strategic decisions made by leadership.
Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to automate analysis tasks and propose specific improvements based on the data collected.
Teamwork: Work closely with various teams (including IT, product, and testing) to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
Requirement Translation: Convert business requirements into concrete, deliverable technical solutions.
Required Skills:
Technical and Logical:
Practical experience in the software development process and a strong understanding of technical systems.
Knowledge of data integration technologies (e.g., APIs, Springboot).
Strong analytical ability and critical thinking for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data.
Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an ability to find practical solutions.
Communication and Organisation:
Clear communication (written and verbal) to explain data to diverse groups.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience working in an international or distributed team environment.
Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of the operations, processes, and goals within a large financial institution.
Experience managing IT infrastructure in a complex operating environment.
Familiarity with the regulatory environment in the banking sector.
