Staff Software Developer in Test

What you will get to do:

• Oversee the quality of work within the team.
• Plan and monitor testing activities.
• Optimise and automate testing activities.
• Identify and automate repetitive operational tasks throughout the software lifecycle.
• Adhere to core design and testing principles as established by team and organizational leadership.
• Develop tools and systems to reduce operational costs.
• Identify bottlenecks in testing and propose effective solutions.
• Maintain and develop test infrastructure.
• Occasionally perform manual testing of the software when necessary.
• Working with embedded devices (TVs and STBs)

Who we are looking for:

Must have:

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of software testing and quality assurance principles.
• Experience with Linux operating systems, especially in embedded environments.
• Intermediate coding skills in scripting languages: such as Python and Bash.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of JavaScript / HTML.
• Continuous Integration platforms (Jenkins).
• Virtualization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with broadcasting and digital television standards.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
