In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Jenkins build clusters, managing our self-hosted Artifactory instance, and automating operational tasks to improve developer productivity. You'll work closely with development teams to enhance build and deploy pipelines while gradually modernizing our infrastructure through automation, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on infrastructure work, values reliability and automation, and wants to drive incremental improvements in a collaborative engineering environment.

  • Manage and optimize Linux-based VMs hosting development tools and services

  • Automate operational tasks using bash and Python scripting

  • Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents using Uptime Kuma

  • Collaborate with development teams to improve build and deployment pipelines

  • Support artifact management and repository operations (Artifactory)

  • Maintain standards of security, reliability, and performance

  • Research and implement best practices for infrastructure automation and tooling

  • Gradually modernize our infrastructure (IaC, configuration management, containerization, cloud adoption)

Who we are looking for:

Must have:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering roles

  • Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL) in production environments

  • Hands-on experience managing Jenkins clusters and configuration

  • Experience with managing Artifactory, self-hosted deployment maintenance a plus

  • Container technologies (Docker) - registry management, image building, and container operations

  • Proficiency in bash scripting and task automation

  • Working knowledge of Python for operational automation and tooling

  • Database administration basics (PostgreSQL, MySQL, backup/restore)

  • Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and system hardening

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for infrastructure issues

  • Experience supporting development teams and understanding SDLC

Nice to have:

  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch) or other cloud platforms equivalents

  • Experience with monitoring and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog)

  • VM and hypervisor management (VMware, KVM, VirtualBox)

What will make you successful:

  • Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of projects

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

  • Strong documentation practices and knowledge sharing mindset

  • Proactive approach to identifying bottlenecks and solving problems before they escalate

  • Desire to learn and adopt new technologies while maintaining existing systems

  • Patient and methodical troubleshooting approach
