About the role:
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our on-premises CI/CD infrastructure. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Jenkins build clusters, managing our self-hosted Artifactory instance, and automating operational tasks to improve developer productivity. You'll work closely with development teams to enhance build and deploy pipelines while gradually modernizing our infrastructure through automation, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on infrastructure work, values reliability and automation, and wants to drive incremental improvements in a collaborative engineering environment.
What you’ll get to do:
Maintain and improve our on-premises CI/CD infrastructure:
Jenkins controller/agent cluster management (distributed builds, pipeline configuration, plugin management)
Self-hosted Artifactory instance (upgrades, backups, Docker registry & LFS artifact management)
Manage and optimize Linux-based VMs hosting development tools and services
Automate operational tasks using bash and Python scripting
Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents using Uptime Kuma
Collaborate with development teams to improve build and deployment pipelines
Support artifact management and repository operations (Artifactory)
Maintain standards of security, reliability, and performance
Research and implement best practices for infrastructure automation and tooling
Gradually modernize our infrastructure (IaC, configuration management, containerization, cloud adoption)
Who we are looking for:
Must have:
4+ years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering roles
Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL) in production environments
Hands-on experience managing Jenkins clusters and configuration
Experience with managing Artifactory, self-hosted deployment maintenance a plus
Container technologies (Docker) - registry management, image building, and container operations
Proficiency in bash scripting and task automation
Working knowledge of Python for operational automation and tooling
Database administration basics (PostgreSQL, MySQL, backup/restore)
Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket)
Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and system hardening
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for infrastructure issues
Experience supporting development teams and understanding SDLC
Nice to have:
Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch) or other cloud platforms equivalents
Experience with monitoring and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog)
VM and hypervisor management (VMware, KVM, VirtualBox)
