👉 Senior PHP Developer (Legacy Migration)

🟣 You will be:

• part of Xebia Poland community of PHP developers working closely together in the PHP Guild,

• implementing business requirements provided by the client,

• cooperating with team members and sharing knowledge,

• working in an agile environment with tools such as GitLab/GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Miro,

• working in both cloud and on-premises environments,

• participating in migration of legacy systems towards modern architectures.

  
  

🟣 Your profile:

• 8+ years of experience as a backend software engineer,

• very good knowledge of PHP 8+, combined with solid background in PHP 5.3 legacy systems,

• experience with SOAP APIs built on Zend legacy framework and ability to rewrite them into modern solutions,

• experience in migration from PHP 5.3 → 8.4,

• practical knowledge of OOP paradigm and SOLID principles,

• experience with writing tests supporting migration processes (unit/integration tests),

• experience with modular monoliths and knowledge of approaches for rewriting them to modern, scalable architectures,

• some frontend experience (e.g. jQuery),

• experience with SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL),

• hands-on experience with GitLab/GitHub and awareness of CI/CD pipelines,

• basic Linux / DevOps skills (useful for running and deploying systems),

• cares about code quality, able to write readable, testable code according to standards,

• familiarity with web application security issues,

• comfortable discussing architectural decisions and proposed design solutions,

• English at B2+ and Polish at B1/B2 level.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required
