R / Shiny Developer

We are recruiting for the position of R / Shiny Developer to join our Product Team.

Your main day-to-day responsibilities: 

• Development of our core R package that provides Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) functions used as analytical engine in the MMM Platform 
• Development of client-facing enterprise Shiny applications 
• Development of internal R / Shiny tools with quick turnaround 
• Code reviews 
• Cooperation with team of other (non-R) developers, working on solutions at the intersection of different technologies 
• Supporting colleagues from Marketing Mix Modelling Team in the area of R programming and helping them introduce good programming practices 

Requirements: 

• Advanced R and Shiny knowledge (e.g. R6 classes, renv, performance, reactivity) and ability to effectively use them in practice 
• Writing high-quality, optimal and well-tested code  
• Good knowledge of git, preferably also GitHub 
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases 
• Knowledge of English at the C1 level 
• General openness to adventure with its highs and lows, but at every moment co-creating and building a very ambitious data science & tech company with global-scale objectives 

Nice to have skills: 

• Previous experience with working with data, statistics, econometrics or Marketing Mix Modelling will be a huge plus 
• Experience working with Docker 
• Understanding the differences between server logic (backend) and frontend logic 
• Knowledge of REST API and JSON data format, e.g. how to design and consume endpoints (httr, plumber) 
• Experience working with HTML / CSS / JavaScript 
• Basic DevOps knowledge
