JOB OVERVIEW: 

As a Maintenance Engineer you will complement the cross-functional team. You will work closely with the development team and project managers to ensure a fully functional and bug-free product. You will also perform bug investigations and write high quality java code including bug fixes and small features. As a part of your responsibilities, you will also manage client support requests to ensure customer satisfaction.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Working closely with the team to analyze, debug and resolve any defects 
• Providing Level 2 Support, incl. resolving technical tasks, writing secure, reliable, and maintainable java code 
• Managing the client-side support ticketing system (Zendesk) 
• Implementation and maintenance of required software components according to requirements 
• Closely collaborating with the product development team, the head of development and clients 
• Implement and execute relevant Unit & Integration tests; debug and resolve technical problems that arise. 
• Performing code reviews. 
• Making sure deliverables are delivered on time with high quality. 
• Periodical on-call duty required (compensated). 
• Willingness to go the extra mile if required (also outside business hours) 

 KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: 

• MUST HAVE: 4+ years of commercial experience on a similar position 
• MUST HAVE: Experience in logs and performance analysis of Java applications 
• MUST HAVE: Basic knowledge of Docker 
• MUST HAVE: Basic knowledge of Linux, bash 
• Experience in the trading domain (e.g. based on stocks, forex, futures, options and/or Cryptocurrencies) 
• Experience in supporting applications built in Java 
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle 
• A team-player attitude with ability to work closely with colleagues 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

• Java development skills (Spring, Hibernate, Java Message Service (JMS), REST API) 
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 
• Hands-on experience with tools like Git, Jira, Jenkins 
• Hands on experience in REST API, Streaming (Nice to have: FIX protocol) 
• Hands on experience with application metrics analysis 
• Good understanding of RDBMS  
• Very strong communication skills and fluency in English
