Your role is:
- To develop platform capabilities according to business requirements;
- To determine operational feasibility of proposed solutions;
- To validate solutions using proof of concepts and prototypes;
- To write simple code;
- To take ownership of services at scale;
- To support and develop software engineers by providing advice and coaching.
Your skills and experiences:
- 6+ years of experience in commercial software development;
- Experience in working on large-scale, distributed systems;
- Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, or EMR;
- Experience in AWS utilizing a broad set of the services available;
- Expertise in Java or Python desirable;
- Master or bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar;
- Strong spoken and written English (C1).
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of microservice development in large scale projects;
- Practical experience in automated unit testing frameworks, continuous integration, performance tuning/testing, and application monitoring.
