Your role is:

-> to stay close to the code – review PRs, help with technical decisions, and be on top of what the team is building;

-> to collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to shape the roadmap and improve the overall product;

-> to improve the KYC experience for Klarna customers and boost conversion rates across multiple flows;

-> to build tools and systems that help Klarna stay compliant with AML & CTF regulations globally;

-> to work closely with other teams (AML, CTF, UAFP, Payments, etc.) to align on shared goals;

-> to be ready to jump in hands-on when needed – even if it’s just to quickly fix a bug or help a teammate debug an issue.

Your skills and experiences:

-> 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams;

-> strong backend skills – ideally in Java;

-> experience with AWS;

-> great collaboration and stakeholder management skills;

-> you care about code quality, team health, and delivering real impact – not just ticking boxes;

Nice to have:

+ bonus points if you’re comfortable with frontend tech like React or TypeScript;
