About the position

We are looking for a Mid Java Developer with at least 3 years of experience to join an international team working for one of our customers, a leader in the insurance industry. As a Mid Java Developer, your role will be to develop key features of our client’s internal tool, which is integrated with other systems and tailored to business needs.

You will collaborate with teammates based in Poland and across Europe and will have direct contact with product owners and application users. Knowledge of front-end technologies is an advantage, and experience with AWS is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• New features development

• Application testing and maintenance

• Application deployment

• Writing clean, functional code on the back-end

• Writing technical documentation

• Propose technical improvements to the application

Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).

• Backend development with REST, Spring Boot, Oracle.

• Experience with database management systems, particularly DB2.

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles .

• Familiarity with RESTful services and API development.

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to have:

• Fullstack development experience.

• Familiarity with PL/I or other legacy systems.

• Understanding of the insurance industry and its business processes.
