The role is part of a cross-functional team working in a SAFe environment, responsible for the development and maintenance of backend systems supporting call center operations. The team delivers solutions that enable task management, inbound and outbound call handling, and process optimization for customer service consultants. The Back-End Developer will contribute to building scalable and reliable services in a distributed environment, ensuring high performance, stability, and seamless integration with other system components. This role has a direct impact on the efficiency of daily operations and the overall quality of the product.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in PHP, supporting core call center functionalities such as task management and call handling.

• Work on scalable and distributed systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of backend solutions.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owner, frontend developers, testers, and the Tech Lead to deliver backlog items in line with SAFe principles.

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into robust backend solutions aligned with product and architectural standards.

• Maintain and enhance existing functionalities, including bug fixing, performance optimization, and production support.

• Contribute to code quality through code reviews, refactoring, and adherence to best engineering practices.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with PHP 7.x/8.x,

• Proficiency in a major PHP framework (such as Symfony, Laravel, or Slim),

• Hands-on experience with REST API design and development,

• Experience writing automated tests with PHPUnit,

• Familiarity with the Linux command line (basic level required),

• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL,

• English proficiency at a B1+ level (communicative),

• Ready to work from the office twice a week (Gdańsk Oliwa - Alchemia).

• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD Pipelines

• Strong attention to detail

• Analytical thinking

• Good communication skills

Nice to have:

• experience with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch

• experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ

• Knowledge of visualization tools like Kibana or Grafana
