What will you do?

At Volvo Group Digital & IT a lot of our projects are based on Java tech stack. In short, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. Two main projects are available at the moment:

1️⃣We’re working on a small portfolio of aftermarket web solutions with over 140,000 users worldwide. The platform supports the service, repair and spare parts sale processes with distribution of service, standard time, tools, and parts information. We support mostly Volvo Trucks in development of new functionalities and enhancement of existing ones.

Tech stack: The legacy app that we are rewriting uses Java 8, but for newer development we have services that use Java 21.

Remote work is possible for people outside of Wroclaw or the surrounding area.

2️⃣Our team is building a new product which will enable us to develop new services around Spare Parts. The first iteration of the product will focus on one of our business areas – Volvo Construction Equipment. Then, we will continue with other business areas of the group.

Tech stack: Java 21, Spring boot, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, GIT, Dockers, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure Platform.

Hybrid work is required (approx. twice a week).

What we expect?

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on, professional experience in Java software development
• Knowledge of Spring/Spring boot framework
• Experience with distributed cloud environment (microservices, message queues)
• Knowledge of REST and SOAP technologies
• DevOps and automation tools (e.g., Git, JIRA), with a strong understanding of CI/CD best practices
• Containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
