Software Engineer/Security Champion

As we continue to expand and strengthen our focus on security, Volue Energy Software is looking for a C# Developer with a strong interest in security to join our team. This position is twofold: 50% software engineer and 50% security champion.

Volue Energy is a leading provider of software solutions for forecasting, optimisation, production planning and energy trading. Our current client portfolio includes some of the largest power producers in more than 20 countries and we are expanding to new markets.

You will play an important role in both improving our software solutions and helping development teams build secure applications and systems.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

As a Security Champion, you will:

• Be part of Volue’s security group, working closely with the company CISO and other security champions

• Support development teams with security-related topics

• Help raise awareness of secure coding practices and modern security standards

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Work primarily with C# and .NET, with the possibility to contribute to frontend work in React

• Contribute to the development of back-end and/or front-end systems within Energy Software

• Help maintain software with bug fixes, security updates, and customer adaptations

• Influence technology choices and implementation with a strong focus on security

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Software Development or similar competence level

• Strong skills in C# and/or frontend development

• Demonstrated interest in IT security and secure software development practices

• Relevant experience in security, in either formal roles, hands-on projects, threat modelling and/or certifications

• Good understanding of interfaces/APIs and databases

• Some experience with cloud environments is an advantage

• Technical English proficiency, written and spoken

• Ability to collaborate across teams, locations, and cultures
