We are now looking for a Principal Cloud Architect who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions on Internal Development Platform, leveraging Azure-native services and modern cloud-native technologies. 

With a strong software development background, you will work closely with engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and resilient architectures while driving automation and DevOps best practices. You will be a key member of the Internal Developer Platform team, responsible for designing and evolving a self-service platform that enables development teams to efficiently deploy, manage, and scale their applications. This includes integrating GitOps, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to streamline cloud operations and developer workflows.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

• Architect and implement highly scalable and resilient Azure cloud solutions.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and multi-region setup strategies.
• Design and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes (AKS) and orchestrate workloads efficiently.
• Implement GitOps workflows using FluxCD and infrastructure automation with Crossplane.
• Define and enforce Platform Engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Optimize cloud performance, security, and cost based on Azure best practices.
• Develop and enforce API management and event-driven architectures.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud-native tools and microservices.
• Drive governance, compliance, and security in cloud architectures.
• Manage Observability stack (Loki, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to engineering teams.

What you need to succeed:

• 10+ years of experience in software development & cloud architecture.
• DevOps, DevSecOps and FinOps are very familiar terms to you.
• Expertise in Azure services (AKS, Functions, App Services, AAD, Networking, Storage, Event Hub, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes (AKS), Helm, and Crossplane for cloud resource provisioning.
• Experience with GitOps (FluxCD, ArgoCD), CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane).
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, or Java for cloud-native application development.
• Strong knowledge of API design, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
