We are now looking for an Associate Software Engineer / Data Engineer to join us to provide value to our customers in line with the Volue mission.
In Volue Insight we enable our customers to make data driven decisions – spanning from creating pricing models for their energy products, when to buy energy, to invest in renewable power plants or power-consuming industry. We provide forecasts for the very near term up to decades ahead for price, demands and flows.
We are a versatile team of experts in quantitative analysis, engineering, and data science. We build and maintain data pipelines, collect and process data from external sources, craft complex mathematical models, run mid- and long-term simulations, analyze time series, train machine learning models, build web applications, and enjoy working together.
What you will be doing to make a difference:
Design, build and maintain flexible and scalable end-to-end data pipelines for forecasting and prediction models.
Together with product management, incorporate the results of our models into convincing products for our customers.
Contribute to our continuous push towards highly scalable and automated data pipelines and forecasting models where performance is monitored, quality is continuously evaluated, and experimentation is easy.
What you need to succeed:
Interest in data engineering, and modern production environments (including automated tests, peer code review, continuous integration, observability, and monitoring).
Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
Software development skills.
Fluency in English.
Disposition to work from Volue Gdańsk office at least two days per week.
