VolleyStation is technology and sport in one. We create systems that change the way teams, leagues, and fans experience volleyball—from detailed data analysis and mobile apps to live statistics at the world's biggest events.

Working fast, diversely, and internationally, VolleyStation is looking for an experienced Python developer to help expand our competition management system, consisting of several administration panels, APIs and external integrations.

Your role

VolleyStation has a broad portfolio of products and services built in-house. We use those products daily to deliver our sports data capture and processing. Some of those products are also available to our clients in the form of SaaS.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Addition of new features to both UI and API. Working with constantly changing volleyball competition rules

• Developing new integrations with TV and other media partners

• Connecting to external systems for new sources of competition data

• Keeping our system in good health with constant dependency updates

• Supporting us in an ongoing effort of breaking up the system into a series of more scalable parts

• Taking part in deployment of new features on live events

Do we have a match?

As a Senior Python Developer, you must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as Python developer

• Experience with Django and creation of REST APIs in Django REST framework

• Experience with any PaaS provider. DigitalOcean App Platform is nice to have

• Experience with a wide range of server side technologies like: S3 storage, Redis, Object or Relational databases

• Strong analytical skills

• Minimum C1 level English is required for communication with an international team

• Nice to have: Experience with queueing systems like RQ, some degree of frontend skills
