Node.js Mid Backend Developer

We are looking to add a new team member to our Digital team in Sopot. We are developing a new educational platform to support our digital products. Please send your CV in English.

VB Polska is a subsidiary of a publishing house: Forlagshuset Vigmostad & Bjørke with ca. 80 employees. We develop and distribute knowledge for use in teaching and professional growth for nursery, primary, secondary, adult and higher education. We also provide IT and accounting services for group companies in Norway.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Build and maintain state of art learning management system
• Developing back-office panels for our platforms

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 4 years of experience as Node.js Backend Developer
• B.Sc or M.Sc from a university or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Good command of Polish

WOULD BE A PLUS

• Understanding of REST API and/or GraphQL concepts
• Experience with NestJS framework
• Experience in test driven development
• Deployment experience with CI/CD tools and Kubernetes
• Experience with Kanban and/or Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of microservices-based event-driven architecture
• Open to learn new technologies
