Through innovations like heat reuse and high-performance computing, our data centres not only power business continuity but also contribute to energy efficiency and carbon reduction goals.


We are looking for a result oriented people manager to manage our international Data Centre teams. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and drive our organization forward.  


Main tasks & responsibilities: 

  • Lead the Data Centre team, directly steering a management team of 4 collegues, indirectly a team of 80 people spread over Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland and Germany. 

  • Ensure stable operations by continuously following up and improving the efficiency of our operational deliverables, processes and setup.  

  • Drive a performance culture through identification and usage of appropriate tools  

  • Drive transformation strategy by engaging employees and relevant stakeholders as well as consider present working routines and operational approaches  

  • Ensure adherence to our governance and suggest improvements where applicable. 

  • Secure adherence to Vattenfall values and drive for diversity when building up an organization that leads in attracting and retaining top talents and a strong focus on people development. 


Your profile

You are an experienced Manager, with an ability to lead and motivate employees and other stakeholders in times of change and conflicting interests. You have proven to be a leader naturally applying our LEADership expectations: Lead yourself, Enable people, Align teams, Drive performance.   Furthermore, you have / are: 

  • At least 5 years of managerial experience. 

  • The ability to analyze and see improvement potentials and translate it to action 

  • A passion to motivate, energize and drive performance of your teams. 

  • The calmness to perform under pressure while still empowering your team. 

  • Running IT organizations based on ITIL inspired processes is part of your DNA.  

  • Take inspiration of e.g. agile-, lean- and continuous improvement methodologies to continuously develop and evolve our way for working. 

  • A collaborative mindset and skills ensuring effective collaboration 

  • An ability to build and maintain trustful working relationships with stakeholders, peers, external partners, Vattenfall colleagues and own staff. 

  • Perfect command of the English language is needed to be successful in this job.  

  • Previous experience from the energy sector and/or regulated business is a merit.  

  • Limited travel to our offices in Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands and Poland will be part of the job.
