As a Senior Backend Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying backend APIs and services using Java and Spring Boot. You'll work closely with our data scientists, engineers, and product managers to develop scalable, efficient, and secure applications that provide valuable insights into energy usage and carbon emissions and prepare the data for presentation.
Your expertise will help us drive innovation and growth in the heating solutions market. You:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy backend components using modern technologies
- Take ownership of software architecture design and implementation
- Collaborate with architects to ensure alignment with company strategy
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation for backend APIs and components
- Lead code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices
- You have over 6 years of project-related experience
- Expert-level knowledge of Java programming language and experience with Spring Boot framework are essential
- You understand microservices architecture principles in advanced level and have experience designing complex systems
- In-depth experience with deployment, maintenance, and monitoring software components on Azure Kubernetes Cluster are crucial in this position
- Expertise with Kafka, MongoDB, and GitOps concepts is what makes you successful
- You are able to conceptualize, implement, and document complex functional relationships in a software system, including design patterns and trade-offs
