Lead Solutions Architect

Lead Solution Design: Oversees the future digital platform’s design and roadmap, engaging with business stakeholders to define scope, and guiding countries on platform adoption and legacy integration

Technology Evaluation: Oversee the architectural design of a cloud-based distribution channel middle-layer platform within a business domain

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Retail and Bancassurance business teams to define a clear platform scope that informs technical strategy and roadmap, while serving as a technology advisor to business leaders by translating complex technical challenges into actionable, business-aligned insights

Solution Governance: Establish architecture guidelines and ensure documentation, compliance, and alignment with internal and regulatory requirements across countries, while guiding local teams to optimize platform use and collaboratively define scalable architectures that account for diverse legacy systems

Cross-Border Compliance: Ensure all solutions are designed with consideration for jurisdictional data residency, privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, local insurance regulations), and security standards
- 5+ years of experience in InsurTech, specifically on digital insurance middle layer
- Deep understanding of insurance domain processes such as underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, and customer engagement
- Extensive experience in designing multi-channel sales platforms. Strong background in designing scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems, including APIs, white-labeling front end, middleware, microservices, and legacy modernization
- Deep understanding of insurance domain processes such as underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, and customer engagement
- Good knowledge of Java software development, web technologies and DevOps principles
- Independent way of working and proactivity, as well as strong communication and cooperation skills
- Experience with agile way of working.
- Ability to drive decisions and consensus across multi-functional and international teams
- Fluency in English
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience or strong interest in AI and machine learning applications in insurance, such as fraud detection, claims automation, or customer insights
- Knowledge of Insurtech trends, digital insurance models, and emerging technologies
- Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with relevant certifications
- Experience working in multi-country environments, understanding the nuances of localization, infrastructure constraints, and regulatory variations
- Project management skill would be preferred
- CEE/SEE language and/or German is a plus
- Willingness to travel abroad at least once per quarter
