Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Under general supervision, manage and deploy applications and cloud infrastructure ensuring security best practices as well as measuring performance for best end user experience. Key responsibilities include managing data to and from cloud platforms, optimizing performance and scalability, and collaborating with other teams to implement and improve cloud solutions. Performs complex analysis and translation of business, information, and technical requirements to achieve IT solutions that meet business needs. Develop design specifications and deliverables related to support system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Innovate & Build – Design and develop cutting-edge cloud systems, applications, and databases.

• Launch & Deliver – Implement and deploy cloud solutions that meet business and client needs.

• Optimize & Evolve – Keep systems running smoothly, monitor performance, and enhance efficiency, security, and scalability.

• Secure the Cloud – Apply best practices and partner with cybersecurity teams to safeguard data.

• Drive Migration – Move applications and data from on-premises to the cloud seamlessly.

• Solve Challenges – Troubleshoot issues and strengthen cloud infrastructure.

• Lead with Impact – Guide projects across IT functions, including Data Security and Disaster Recovery.

• Collaborate & Connect – Work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.

• Support & Empower – Provide expert guidance and technical support to users and clients.

• Stay Compliant – Follow UL’s Code of Conduct and uphold all security standards.

• Adapt & Contribute – Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Some university coursework in Applied Science or a related discipline, plus approximately two years of directly relevant experience.

• Technical Expertise: Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud computing systems, including Microsoft Azure (required).

• Work Style: Ability to work independently with strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced technical environment.

• Teamwork: Collaboration is essential.
