Mid Python Developer

Job description

We’re seeking a motivated and proactive Mid-level Python Developer who wants to be a part of creating real, impactful solutions. You’ll dive deep into our existing systems, working primarily with Python and Django. You will contribute to building and fine-tuning large-scale integrations with third-party systems. You won't just be writing code; you’ll be enhancing the overall efficiency, speed, scalability, and extensibility of our applications. As our systems have matured over time, your ability to work effectively with legacy code will add significant value.

We expect you to have the technical knowledge and the ability to engage with the business side, ensuring that all development aligns with our overarching objectives.

Automation Team:

Our team is responsible for providing operational support to key departments within the company, including Operations (Production, Logistics, Quality Control), Customer Service, and Accounting. Our main objective is to automate processes in these areas by creating and maintaining applications that are entirely designed and developed by our team. We also handle the integration of our solutions with other systems to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve Issues and Optimize Performance: Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code and features.
• Develop Internal Systems: Build and enhance systems that support the Operations team (Logistics, Production, Quality), Accounting team, and CS team.
• Provide Architectural Insights: Offer expert advice on system architecture to ensure scalable and efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align development efforts with business objectives.
• Guide System Development: Choose the best possible path for system development, balancing innovation with stability.
• Adhere to Best Practices: Follow Python’s best practices to maintain clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Participate in Code Reviews: Provide valuable feedback during code reviews to uphold high coding standards across the team.

You will be fairly remunerated – 15 000 – 18 000 PLN +VAT (depending on your skills and experience).

Must have

• Commercial experience with Python and Django (3+ years)
• Experience developing and integrating APIs
• Experience working with PostgreSQL
• Good command of written and spoken Polish and English language

Nice to have

• Experience with PyTest, CI/CD and Docker are a Big Plus
