Python Developer

Location: Gdynia, Pomorski Park Naukowo Technologiczny

(hybrid: 2-3 days / week in the office)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to contribute to the development of a cloud-based threat detection application that uses AI to analyze video streams from on-site cameras and identify events or situations that may pose a security threat.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Writing Python code to:

  • Implement new and enhance existing APIs for the back-end.

  • Support the integration of the back-end application with new Video Management Systems (both cloud-based and traditional)

  • Create unit tests for your code.

• Collaborating with:

  • Local team members.

  • Teams based in the US and EU.

• Maintaining and updating documentation for implemented features and integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in Python (minimum 3 years of experience in a professional environment).

• Experience in developing scalable back-end applications with Django.

• Good understanding of video streaming technologies and preferably experience working with them in a production environment; familiarity with GStreamer is a strong advantage.

• Prior exposure to Java and .NET code, as you may encounter SDKs written in those languages.

• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) sufficient to develop, deploy, and troubleshoot applications within such environments.

• Strong command of English, enabling effective verbal and written communication.
