Lead Ignition Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and validate IIoT solutions using the Inductive Automation Ignition platform, Python, SQL, and related technologies.
• Create and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for industrial applications.
• Integrate industrial devices, sensors, and control systems with Ignition, using protocols such as MQTT and OPC UA.
• Work with Unified Namespace (UNS), data historians and databases to manage and analyze industrial data effectively.
• Develop and enhance Ignition Perspective screens, scripting, and business logic for new and existing applications.
• Follow and implement best practices for IIoT solution development, including security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Document developed solutions, including technical designs, configurations, and user guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality IIoT solutions.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, providing expert guidance and troubleshooting.
• Stay up to date with IIoT trends, industrial automation best practices and the evolving capabilities of the Ignition platform.

Our Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying IIoT solutions using Inductive Automation Ignition platform.
• Hands-on experience with Ignition installation, Gateway setup and Project Configuration.
• Proficiency in Ignition modules, including Perspective and other modules.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience reg. IIoT protocols such as MQTT and OPC UA.
• Understanding of Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture and hands-on experience reg its possible implementation.
• Solid knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, continuous integration and unit testing.
• Experience in SQL database design and management.
• Proficiency in Python and/or similar languages, including experience in developing scripts using Python.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS for UI customization within Ignition.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Very good English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business-related activities.

Nice to have

• Inductive Automation certification (Core or Gold).
• Experience with PLC programming.
• Knowledge of HMI and SCADA development.
• Knowledge and ability to practically apply the UNS concepts.
