Senior Full-stack AI/ML Engineer

TransferRoom is a hyper-growth B2B SaaS Marketplace on a mission to change the football transfer market for the better. We do this by empowering football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers.

TransferRoom is market leading and has become a must have for key stakeholders in football’s transfer market. It’s used by 800+ clubs, including Man City, Liverpool and PSG, 550 agencies and 8000 professional players. It has empowered clubs and agents to facilitate over 6000 transfers since launch in 2017.

Brief intro to the role:

We are looking for a senior full-stack engineer with solid hands-on experience working and experimenting with the practical application of Artificial Intelligence, natural language interfaces, agentic AI and ML to drive and lead our innovation incubator function at TransferRoom.com. This role requires 90% hands-on implementation, with 10% of the role requiring stakeholder management and requirements analysis.

You’ll be involved in the end-to-end delivery of systems and proof of concept implementations. Exploring, understanding and processing data - structured and unstructured, experimenting with ML and AI, understanding model outputs and evaluating performance against defined objectives, and communicating these results to the rest of the team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Rapidly develop, deploy, and present AI/ML proof of concepts

• Work with structured and unstructured data to build and evaluate models

• Experiment with a broad tech stack including LLMs, NLP, prompt engineering, APIs, web and mobile

• Collaborate with founders and CTO to prioritise impactful features and data improvements

• Communicate progress and challenges clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  
  

Who you are:

• 3+ years experience delivering production software with an emphasis on AI, data processing or MLOps

• Skilled with version control tools like Git and Azure DevOps

• Experience building data transformations on relational or non-relational platforms

• Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure

• Able to troubleshoot data workflows and optimise system performance

• Experience delivering client-facing software (Preferred)

• Familiarity with C#, Python, React, TypeScript

• Experience with AI tools like ChatGPT, Azure AI, or similar

• Knowledge of data platforms like SQL Server, Power BI, BigQuery
