Test Lead

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead who will take ownership of coordinating testing projects and act as a key partner for the client and project teams. This role combines quality, analytical, and project competencies, with a strong focus on ensuring that testing genuinely supports business objectives.

Scope of responsibilities

• Acting as the main point of contact for the client in the testing area

• Analyzing business and technical requirements from a testing perspective

• Preparing test strategies and test plans for software development and validation processes

• Reporting test results and recommendations to the project team and stakeholders

• Participating in daily and recurring project meetings as a testing representative

• Supporting the Head of Testing in planning and allocating resources to projects

• Assigning tasks to testing team members and providing ongoing substantive support

• Regularly reviewing the project schedule with regard to testing activities

• Planning, monitoring, and controlling testing activities within projects

• Defining and maintaining quality and testing efficiency KPIs

• Estimating testing effort, timelines, and costs within projects

• Analyzing and tracking changes and new project requirements

• Defining hardware and software requirements for test environments and test setups

• Reporting testing progress to the Head of Testing

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in software testing

• At least 2 years of experience in a Test Lead / QA Lead / Test Coordinator role

• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into test strategies

• Experience in test planning, estimation, and progress reporting

• Hands-on experience working with clients and project teams

• Ability to manage a testing team (tasks, priorities, workload)

• Knowledge of software development processes (Agile / Scrum / Waterfall)

• Ability to define and work with quality-related KPIs

• Very good communication and organizational skills

• Willingness to travel up to 10%

• ISTQB certification (minimum Foundation Level)

Nice to have

• ISTQB Advanced Level certification (Test Manager or Test Analyst)

• Experience in testing complex or enterprise systems

• Knowledge of test management tools (e.g. TestRail, Zephyr, Xray)

• Experience in test automation or cooperation with automation teams

• Experience in regulated environments or projects with high quality requirements
