Software Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers working on advanced AML & Fraud Detection solutions in a Polish–Swiss product company. This is a cloud-native, strongly data-driven environment that is scaling rapidly—so we are seeking someone who can effectively combine people leadership, technical oversight, and a broad architectural perspective.

WORK MODE

Hybrid – Warsaw (city center), 3 days per week from the office

YOUR ROLE

• Lead and develop a team of engineers through regular 1:1s, clear communication, and genuine care for growth and motivation

• Build a culture of collaboration, ownership, and high quality

• Ensure delivery performance, product quality, and sustainable development pace

• Remove obstacles, support technical decision-making, and establish healthy development processes

• Collaborate with Product Management on roadmaps, refinements, and priorities

• Support Customer Delivery when fast reaction or deeper clarification is required

• Participate in architectural discussions—no hands-on coding required, but a strong end-to-end system understanding is expected

• Take part in design and specification reviews, working closely with domain experts

• Hire, onboard, and grow new team members, supporting their technical and professional development

• Introduce and reinforce sound working practices in a fast-growing organization

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong Java foundation as a developer or tech lead before moving into management (experience in a product company or software house is ideal)

• Proven experience leading teams building complex, data-driven platforms (large data volumes, real-time processing, high system complexity)

• Practical experience working in a cloud-native environment

• Strong people leadership skills—empathy, clear communication, and a trust-based management style

• Someone who enjoys scaling, fast organizational growth, and bringing structure to dynamic environments

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills (Product, Delivery, Management)

• Fluent English
