Senior Platform Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Our Client is one of the most recognizable e-commerce companies in Poland, developing an advanced technology platform in the Azure cloud and operating at a very large traffic scale.

The project focuses on building and evolving a platform that supports key products, including payment and insurance services.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer (Java/Kotlin) who will design and develop tools for development teams, combining strong Java/Kotlin expertise with Kubernetes and Azure.

📍 WORK MODE Warsaw – hybrid model (flexible)

🧑‍💻 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and maintaining tools and libraries for the Java/Kotlin ecosystem, supporting product teams in their day-to-day work

• Optimizing and supporting workloads running on Kubernetes, including integration and configuration of Istio, ArgoCD, and Helm

• Designing and implementing high-availability (HA) solutions in multi-region environments

• Conducting technology research, building PoCs, and preparing analyses and recommendations

• Providing expert support to engineering teams through automation, integrations, and tools that simplify platform usage

🔍 REQUIREMENTS

• Very good knowledge of Java (willingness to also work with Kotlin is a plus)

• Experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and the GitOps ecosystem (Istio, ArgoCD, Helm)

• Knowledge of cloud services – Microsoft Azure preferred

• Proficiency with containerization tools (Docker)
