Senior Data Engineer (AWS)

Our Client is an international organization building advanced data-driven solutions in a cloud environment.

The project focuses on building and scaling a data platform based on AWS, supporting analytics and business processes at scale.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer who will have a real impact on architecture, standards, and data engineering practices.

WORK MODE: 100% remote

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines in AWS (Amazon Web Services) using AWS Glue in a batch processing environment

• Build and optimize advanced data transformations using Apache Spark and SQL (Structured Query Language) with a focus on performance and maintainability

• Design data models for analytical solutions (data lake / data warehouse) and ensure their quality and consistency

• Ensure reliability, monitoring, and performance of pipelines in distributed systems

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions

• Improve existing solutions and propose new approaches in the data engineering domain

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Min. 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer

• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python (production-level coding)

• Solid experience with AWS (Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift)

• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large-scale data

• Experience with CI/CD (e.g. GitLab) and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)

• Experience with data governance, data quality, and data integration

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• English at min. C1 level

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Power BI

• Experience mentoring or acting as a technical leader

• Challenger mindset and proactive approach to improvements
