ML Engineer (Search & Recommendation Systems)

Our Client is one of the leading marketplace platforms in Poland, attracting over 9 million active users monthly. The project focuses on advanced optimization of the product search engine and building modern recommendation systems that directly impact the sales performance of thousands of sellers.

We are looking for an experienced ML Engineer with a unique combination of Machine Learning expertise and programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.

📍 WORK MODE: 100% remote⏱️ AVAILABILITY: ASAP

🧑‍💻 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configure, optimize, and develop advanced product search systems to deliver highly relevant results.

• Design, train, and deploy ranking and recommendation models (e.g., Learning-to-Rank, Collaborative Filtering, Two-Tower systems).

• Build and optimize NLP (Natural Language Processing) models, including text classification and transformer-based approaches (e.g., BERT).

• Monitor models in production and continuously evaluate and improve them in terms of scalability and performance.

• Integrate modern libraries and frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and LangGraph into large-scale data workflows.

🔍 REQUIREMENTS

Must-have:

• 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying ML models in production environments.

• Practical experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and ML tools compatible with these ecosystems.

• Strong proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, and LangChain.

• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking models, and optimization based on business metrics.

• Hands-on experience in search-related projects.

• Deep knowledge of NLP, including transformers such as BERT, MiniLM, and their variants.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with experimentation and monitoring tools such as MLflow, Neptune, TensorBoard, or Prometheus.

• Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
