DevOps Manager

Our Client is developing a modern technology platform and is looking for an experienced DevOps / Engineering Manager who can combine strategic architectural decision-making with hands-on, operational management across infrastructure, reliability, DevOps, and security. We are seeking someone who will take end-to-end ownership of environments—from architecture and CI/CD to IT governance and security.

🔧 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

🌐 Architecture & Technology Direction

• Defining and evolving the organization’s technology direction, ensuring scalability, consistency, and alignment with business goals

• Providing architectural guidance to development teams and resolving dependencies across squads

⚙️ DevOps, Infrastructure & Reliability

• Managing the full DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure domain: infrastructure, system reliability, IT operations, DBA, monitoring, and logging

• Ensuring high availability through observability, incident management, BCP/DRP, and continuous improvement of operational practices

• Overseeing cloud operations (Azure) and cost optimization

🚀 CI/CD & Performance Engineering

• Maintaining and developing CI/CD pipelines, release management, automation, and engineering process quality

• Improving team productivity through standardization of DevOps tools and practices

🔐 Security & Compliance

• Enforcing security policies, performing risk assessments, and overseeing security tooling (e.g., WAF, EDR)

• Collaborating with the Group CISO on compliance, audits, access control, and asset management

🧩 IT Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Managing L1/L2/L3 processes, SLAs, and escalations

• Working closely with Product and Technology teams to ensure operational predictability and transparent reporting (KPI dashboards, documentation)

👥 Leadership & Team Development

• Mentoring senior engineers and tech leads

• Strengthening engineering culture, implementing best practices, and promoting knowledge sharing

🎯 REQUIREMENTS

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a managerial role (Engineering Manager / Manager) or as a Tech Lead leading teams

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, and designing high-availability systems

• Hands-on experience with cloud & SaaS environments (Azure preferred)

• Technical maturity across architecture, DevOps, security, infrastructure, CI/CD, and operations

Technologies & Tools

• Very good knowledge of: Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Docker, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, Redis, MS SQL, system administration

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (C#, .NET, Entity Framework) and frontend technologies (JavaScript, Angular/AngularJS)

• Broad knowledge of system architecture, testing, integrations, security, system administration, and SRE/DevOps best practices

Soft Skills

• Proven leadership and mentoring experience

• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

• Strategic mindset—linking technology decisions with business objectives
