Domain Enterpise Architect

Team description:

You will be part of the Enterprise Architecture Pan-E team which currently serves as a cross-functional team across European entities providing services like Business Strategy Support, Programme & Project Support, Standards Management & Integration Strategy and Platform.

Role summary:

As a Domain Enterprise Architect, you will map and own the overall domain capabilities, support & guide the business and IT teams to design and develop new business models and IT systems ensuring they meet the standards & frameworks defined. You will be responsible for translating the needs of business into fit-for-purpose solutions and setting up the architectural roadmap of the domain in perfect alignment with the strategy and architecture defined to modernize and digitize business needs.

Requirements description:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferably in an IT-related domain) or equivalent with 10-15 years of experience.

• You should be knowledgeable in the Software Development Lifecycle and ideally have come from an IT development background.

• Experience in a large organization as an Enterprise Architect or Domain Architect serving a complex IT landscape.

• Experience working in complex, multi-country or multi-business environments.

• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic architectural intent with practical delivery needs.

• Track record of influencing stakeholders and driving architectural decisions.

Preferred Qualifications (Including Certifications)

Experience & Skills

• Experience developing domain strategies and multi-year architectural roadmaps.

• Exposure to legacy modernization, platform consolidation, or large-scale transformation programmes.

• Experience establishing architecture governance processes and leading governance forums.

• Experience creating and maintaining capability models and process models.

• Familiarity with Target Operating Model design and organizational change management.

Certifications (Nice to Have)

• TOGAF® Certification (Foundation or Certified).

• ArchiMate® Certification.

• SAFe® certifications.

• Cloud architecture certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP Architect).

Skills:

Your responsibilities

1. Understand business vision, strategy, and roadmaps of the responsible domain.

2. Ensure that IT landscape within the domain is optimized and consistent by defining and steering changes to the overall IT architecture to meet business units' needs, consistent with the domain strategy and the company strategy.

3. Create and maintain domain strategy linked to capabilities and business objectives.

4. Apply strategic thinking to evaluate options, identify long-term goals and patterns, and think ahead.

5. Contribute to the development of the IS strategic plan.

6. Influence stakeholders at all levels to drive architectural decisions and align business and IT strategies.

7. Document and own the capability model for the domain using ArchiMate as a modelling language in BizzDesign.

8. Visualize business capabilities and their interdependencies clearly across the domain.

9. Link capabilities to applications, data, infrastructure, and business processes.

10. Map business processes end-to-end, capture roles, systems, data and metrics accurately.

11. Identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.

12. Maintain and evolve models as the business and architecture landscape changes.

13. Develop multi-year architectural roadmaps balancing legacy modernization with capability evolution.

14. Align roadmaps with business priorities, technical debt management, and enterprise architecture direction.

15. Map dependencies across initiatives and coordinate with other domains.

16. Communicate roadmap trade-offs clearly to business and IT stakeholders.

17. Ensure roadmap supports domain strategy and company objectives.

18. Create and maintain the IS architectural standards and principles, steer the appropriate documentation and update the company's system of reference.

19. Define and enforce architecture principles specific to domain con.

Role Details:

• Location: Wrocław, Plac Konstytucji 3 Maja 3

• Employment Type: Permanent

• Working Pattern: Hybrid — 2 to 3 days per week in the office, with flexibility for travel to Head Office in Brussels

• Language Requirements: Professional proficiency in English is essential.
